At ARDA Beratung und Bildung, we are committed to promoting high standards in technical education and professional training. We recently had the privilege of organizing a significant Erasmus+ project focused on "Periodic Inspection in Electrical Installations, Grounding, and Lightning Rod Installation." This project was specifically designed to address critical safety needs in electrical installations, following increasing concerns about electrical safety standards in Turkey.

The tragic dormitory fire in Adana highlighted the importance of rigorous safety checks and compliance in electrical systems. In response, many institutions in Turkey sought to improve the safety and compliance of their electrical installations. However, these efforts often lacked depth, with a noticeable shortage of skilled professionals capable of implementing these safety measures effectively.

To address this pressing need, we collaborated with Şehit Kemal Özalper Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. Our project aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of their students by providing specialized training in Europe, focusing on safety standards and practical applications in electrical installations.

We facilitated the training of 18 students across Europe, partnering with leading institutions such as TÜV Rheinland Akademie Berlin in Germany, ESHIA ENERGIA SL in Spain, and HAN ELECTROMECANIC GRUP in Romania. This hands-on training allowed students to gain practical experience and insights into European safety standards in electrical installations, grounding, and lightning rod installations.

Our program was carefully designed to meet the specific needs of the participants. The students were selected based on their language proficiency, health status, parental consent, and academic performance. To ensure their success and well-being during their time abroad, we assigned a chaperone teacher to each group, chosen for their leadership abilities and problem-solving skills.

The project was coordinated by a dedicated team from ARDA Beratung, comprising an administrator, three teachers, and an accountant. This team was responsible for organizing the project, managing logistics, and maintaining effective communication between all stakeholders. Each partner institution provided a representative, and a designated teacher from ARDA oversaw the communication flow, ensuring clarity and preventing any misunderstandings. We also appointed a teacher to remain at the school to manage ongoing communication with students, partners, and parents throughout the project.

The successful completion of this project has made a significant impact on the participants and their communities. By bringing European standards for electrical safety to Turkey, we have helped raise the bar for periodic inspections and protection applications in electrical installations. This project not only addressed a critical safety need but also contributed to the professional development of the next generation of electricians.

We are proud of the role ARDA Beratung played in facilitating this important project and look forward to continuing our work in promoting high standards of education and professional training across Europe.
