Project number : 2021-2-PL01-KA210-SCH-PL01-000048902
Project coordinator : Prywatna Lingwistyczna Szkoła Podstawowa (Poland)
Project Partner:
- Mehmet Akif Ersoy Primary School (Türkiye)
- ARDA Beratung & Bildung GmbH (Germany)
- Lar D. Pedro V (Portugal)
Objectives:
With this project, we aim to develop recycling and environmental awareness from a very young age,
integrating it into the social responsibility component of education. Additionally, we seek to raise awareness about the importance of the conscious use of resources and the potential for waste
materials to be repurposed. By successfully implementing our project, we hope to reduce the impact of resource shortages on future generations, ensuring a more sustainable and livable
world.
Implementation:
We will implement a variety of activities primarily targeting students in partner schools to raise awareness
about recycling.
These activities include:
- Fashion shows using waste materials
- Drama performances with environmental
themes
- Creating musical instruments from recycled materials
- Beach clean-up events to collect plastic
- Theatrical plays focused on
recycling
- Setting up and using recycling bins
- Visits to recycling
facilities
- Crafting picture frames from recyclable
materials
- Workshops on sustainability
- Building eco-robots and dollhouses from
waste
- Designing posters and banners promoting
recycling
In addition to these activities, we will create a project logo, a Facebook page, a website, and an eTwinning
project to further promote and share our initiatives.
Expected Results:
With the implementation of our project, we expect to cultivate a generation that understands the importance
of separating waste materials. This awareness will lead to a cleaner and healthier environment for all living beings. Recycling will become a way of life, reducing environmental pollution and
associated diseases, thereby extending the life of our planet. Additionally, participants will develop a sense of achievement, and we will take a significant step towards
internationalization.
- Teachers will teach about nature and the environment with greater confidence and
enthusiasm.
- Prejudices towards other cultures will be
reduced, fostering new friendships.
- Teachers will use engaging teaching methods, including project-based, game-based, and drama-based
approaches to capture the attention of students.
- Students will become aware of their environmental impact through waste management and find ways to reduce
pollution. This increased environmental awareness will encourage both students and parents to recognize the importance of recycling and adopting sustainable practices.
- Pupils and teachers will develop a sensitivity not only to local pollution but also to global environmental
issues, including climate change and recycling. Their awareness of foreign languages will increase, making them active global citizens, eager to learn and teach new languages while respecting other
cultures and nations.
- Participants will develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, acquire 21st-century skills, and
become active, innovative, and productive individuals. They will gain a deeper understanding of the pollution caused by waste, learn about recycling processes, and explore ways to reduce pollution.
They will also understand the economic benefits of reusing materials and become more conscientious about the correct sorting and disposal of waste.
- Participants will also be inclined to educate their family members, friends, and acquaintances about these
important issues, thereby fostering a broader community commitment to environmental sustainability.
