The average of the total population constitutes 15% of the elderly population in western countries. However, this part of 15% consume more than 50% of  the admission to hospital and 40% of health care resources.This rate is around 6% estimated for Turkey. The average life expectancy is estimated as 72.37 years at birth for all of Turkey's population (70 years for men and 75 years for women).Aging is defined as the state of physiological, psychological, economic and social aspects of the process. However, in many countries it is considered as old age and the retirement age limit of 65 years to demographic and economic reasons. This process is accompanied by many pathological changes and chronic diseases. The word “ Geriatric” in Medicine language means "Old Medical" and all over the world, including the elderly health issues, is known as the old age of science. Geriatric Medicine is a   science that in the later years of life, the protection of people's health, prevention of disease and including scientific applications based on multiple evaluation treatment. Aging of the population informs economic and social field of life. Aging; production and consumption, income distribution policy, social security policy, family policy and health policies such as the state of the macro and affect areas that need long-term solutions.

With the sucessful completion of our project, participant students working in the field conveyed both the quality of health services and improved the provision of geriatric patients by contributing to healthy living.

They have attended cultural activities which in turn improved their foreign language. 

* Participants became more qualified workers in their fields.

* Their self-confidence has improved due to their jo involvement in international arena.

* Project has contributed a lot to turkish labor market.
