Project Title: Breaking Boundaries with CNC Design
Project Owner: Demirci Ahi Evran Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, Manisa & ARDA
Number of Participants: 12
Project Country: Germany
Project Overview
The Erasmus+ project "Breaking Boundaries with CNC Design" was designed to provide students and educators from
Demirci Ahi Evran Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School with practical training in CNC design and machining technologies. The project aimed to bridge the gap
between theoretical knowledge and real-world industrial applications, ensuring that participants develop modern technical skills and gain exposure to
European industry standards.
As part of the 2020 Erasmus+ application period, the project was successfully accepted and implemented as an
internship mobility program in Germany. Participants engaged in practical training sessions, industry visits, and skill-development workshops that enhanced their
vocational education and career readiness.
Project Objectives
The primary objectives of this Erasmus+ internship mobility project were:
- Providing hands-on training in CNC design and machining to improve technical expertise.
- Introducing students to advanced manufacturing technologies in European industries.
- Enhancing vocational education by integrating modern industry practices into the
curriculum.
- Strengthening international cooperation in vocational training and fostering knowledge
exchange.
- Increasing employment opportunities by equipping students with globally recognized skills.
- Developing cultural and professional adaptability to prepare students for an international work
environment.
Training and Activities
During the three-week internship in Germany, 12 students and educators participated in:
- CNC design and machining workshops, where they worked with industry-standard equipment and learned advanced
techniques.
- Hands-on training sessions focused on CAD/CAM software applications for CNC processes.
- Visits to CNC manufacturing companies and vocational training centers, offering direct exposure to European
industrial practices.
- Industry-based skill development programs, where participants applied their knowledge in real-world
scenarios.
This structured program enabled students to gain valuable practical experience while strengthening their
problem-solving abilities, teamwork skills, and technical expertise.
Expected Outcomes and Impact
The Erasmus+ project yielded significant benefits for participants, including:
- Improved technical skills in CNC machining and design, making students more competitive in the job market.
- Hands-on experience in applying industry-relevant knowledge in a professional environment.
- Exposure to European manufacturing standards and work ethics, broadening students' career perspectives.
- Enhancements in vocational training programs at Demirci Ahi Evran Vocational and Technical Anatolian High
School.
- New international collaborations that support future vocational training initiatives.
By integrating modern CNC training methods into its curriculum, Demirci Ahi Evran Vocational and Technical Anatolian
High School aims to elevate the quality of vocational education and prepare students for global career opportunities.
Sustainability and Future Initiatives
