Erasmus+ Youth Program - KA2 Strategic Partnership
The Artificial Intelligence Education for Youth project was a KA2 Strategic Partnership initiative under the Erasmus+ Youth Program, designed to drive collaboration, innovation, and the exchange of best practices. Spearheaded by the Ankara Mamak District Directorate of National Education (Turkey), the project brought together key stakeholders from Germany, Sweden, and Turkey to advance AI education.

In an era where Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping societies, it is essential to move beyond passive consumption and equip young individuals with the tools to understand, develop, and innovate within this transformative field. This project took significant strides toward fostering AI literacy, ensuring that young people become active contributors to digital evolution.
Key accomplishments include the development of comprehensive AI education infrastructure such as books, online portals, and curricula tailored to high school students, laying a strong foundation for future AI competency development.
This project targeted young individuals aged 15-30, preparing them to become the next generation of AI leaders by instilling essential knowledge, technical skills, and ethical considerations in AI applications.
Established national guidelines for AI education in high schools.
Forged collaborations with schools, universities, and NGOs to develop and refine these guidelines.
Created AI application tools featuring case studies and best practices from around the world.
Enhanced programming curricula, integrating cutting-edge AI methodologies and techniques.
Curated an AI resource directory tailored for high school educators.
Extended AI literacy initiatives to primary and secondary education through strategic dissemination efforts.
Participants gained a holistic understanding of AI and its broader implications:
Developed a critical perspective on the benefits and challenges of AI systems.
Gained practical insights into AI’s potential and limitations.
Explored key supporting technologies, including big data, IoT, cloud computing, and advanced internet technologies.
Strengthened creative problem-solving abilities by engaging with diverse AI-driven concepts and applications.
A total of 135 hours of AI training was delivered to 120 selected participants from an initial pool of 550 applicants. The top 20 performers had the unique opportunity to participate in AI immersion programs in Germany and Sweden.
