Expert Guides of the Digital World

Erasmus+ Project | KA210-SCH-000174216

Project Description

The "Expert Guides of the Digital World" project is an ongoing initiative aimed at equipping educators, students, and institutions with cybersecurity knowledge and digital skills to navigate and lead in the digital era. Implemented in collaboration with the KA210-SCH project, this initiative addresses the increasing risks associated with cyber threats, digital dependency, and online safety.

As digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and the metaverse continue to evolve, individuals must be prepared to handle cybersecurity challenges, misinformation, and digital ethics. This project seeks to bridge the knowledge gap by enhancing digital literacy, critical thinking, and responsible online behavior.

By fostering proactive digital security awareness, participants are not only adapting to digital transformation but also actively shaping it within educational institutions and various professional fields.

Project Partners

This international collaboration brings together partners from different countries, each contributing expertise in education, technology, and cybersecurity awareness:

  • Comprehensive Institute "San Giovanni Bosco" (Italy)
  • Kutahya Gediz Altinkent Secondary School (Türkiye)
  • ARDA Consulting & Education (Germany)
  • Povoa de Santa Iria Group of Schools (Portugal)

Project Aims

The project focuses on developing cyber life skills and empowering participants to recognize digital security risks and implement preventive measures. Key objectives include:

  • Raising awareness of cyber threats, including phishing, hacking, and online fraud
  • Developing model scenarios for managing digital crises and cybersecurity risks
  • Promoting responsible digital citizenship and ethical online behavior
  • Strengthening digital literacy, media comprehension, and critical thinking skills
  • Introducing cryptographic methods for data encryption and cybersecurity
  • Teaching fundamental coding, software development, and digital problem-solving
  • Encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration and project-based learning
  • Supporting EU citizenship values and fostering intercultural digital collaboration
  • Integrating cybersecurity education into school curricula

By achieving these objectives, the project aims to empower individuals and institutions to navigate the digital world safely and promote responsible digital practices.

Work Process

The project is structured around regular virtual meetings, interactive workshops, and collaborative planning sessions, providing a dynamic platform for:

  • Knowledge exchange on cybersecurity risks and best practices
  • Collaborative brainstorming to develop effective cybersecurity strategies
  • Strategic planning to integrate digital security awareness into education
  • Ongoing teamwork and participation to ensure project success

These continuous interactions strengthen team coordination, improve communication among project partners, and facilitate the development of innovative solutions to address digital security challenges.

Expected Outcomes

As the project progresses, participants are expected to:

  • Enhance their awareness of cybersecurity threats and risk prevention strategies
  • Gain knowledge on secure communication, data protection, and device security
  • Learn best practices for protecting operating systems (PC, tablet, mobile devices)
  • Understand corporate cybersecurity principles and secure online practices
  • Develop technical proficiency in digital tools, Web 2.0, and VR technologies
  • Strengthen problem-solving, critical thinking, and digital innovation skills
  • Improve collaborative digital learning and intercultural exchange
  • Enhance foreign language communication skills in an international digital environment

This ongoing initiative continues to make a significant impact on education, professional training, and digital security awareness. By integrating cybersecurity education into academic and institutional frameworks, the project contributes to a more informed, digitally responsible, and cyber-secure society
