Project Objectives and Expected Outcomes

Context:

The Coronavirus pandemic has highlighted the rise of digital addiction among youth, leading to social isolation, mental health issues, and decreased academic performance. Research shows that 3.6% of youths aged 12-18 are internet addicts, with 21.8% at risk.

Problem Statement:

Young people need guidance to overcome digital addiction and engage in real-life activities. This universal issue affects teenagers worldwide, decreasing academic success and harming physical and mental health. Limited interaction with nature and peers degrades creativity and productivity.

Project Goals:

1. Raise Awareness: Educate about the dangers of digital addiction.

2. Promote Healthy Lifestyles: Encourage real-life activities for healthier living.

3. Enhance Social Skills: Foster interactions with nature and peers to improve social skills.

4. Develop Positive Attitudes: Cultivate respect for diverse cultures.

5. Reduce Online Dependency: Provide strategies to decrease device use.

6. Support Disadvantaged Students: Offer cultural exchange opportunities to economically disadvantaged students.

Implementation:

Partnering globally will broaden the project's impact, fostering cultural acceptance and social skills among participants. Economically disadvantaged students will gain exposure to different cultures, enhancing their social integration and reducing digital addiction.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Awareness Programs: Workshops and seminars on digital addiction.

  • Real-Life Activities: Events promoting physical and social engagement.

  • Educational Materials: Resources on digital addiction and healthy lifestyles.

  • Social Interactions: Increased interaction with nature and peers.

  • Cultural Exchange Programs: Facilitated cultural exchanges.

  • Enhanced Academic Performance: Reduced online time to improve academic results.
