  • ARDA Beratung & Bildung (Germany): A leading institution in Erasmus projects, specializing in education and cultural exchange.

  • Aydınlıkevler Primary School (Turkey): The region’s largest school with 2,205 students, fostering inclusivity and innovation.

 

This project addresses the challenges of problematic internet use among children, stemming from insufficient parental guidance and a lack of digital literacy. By engaging students, parents, and teachers, it aimed to promote safe internet practices, reduce cyberbullying, and enhance overall awareness of digital safety.

 

Objectives and Results

  1. Improve Students' Digital Literacy:

    • Goal: Increase students' secure internet usage by 30% through workshops.

    • Achievement: Students demonstrated significantly better control over their internet usage and awareness of online risks.

  2. Reduce Early School Dropouts:

    • Goal: Decrease early dropouts due to excessive internet use by 10% and cyberbullying-related dropouts from 5% to 1%.

    • Achievement: Schools reported a notable decline in dropout rates, highlighting the project’s success in addressing root causes.

  3. Foster Cross-Cultural Skills:

    • Goal: Enhance language skills and cultural awareness through collaborative activities.

    • Achievement: Participants showed improved communication skills and greater cultural sensitivity.

  4. Strengthen Institutional Capacity:

    • Goal: Equip schools with strategies for inclusive education and digital safety.

    • Achievement: Schools adopted robust policies, improving their capacity to manage online risks effectively.

  5. Enhance Parental Awareness:

    • Goal: Educate parents on tools such as antivirus software and filters while encouraging positive communication about internet safety.

    • Achievement: Parental understanding of digital safety improved by 30%, leading to stronger family involvement.

  6. Empower Teachers:

    • Goal: Increase teachers' e-security knowledge by 20% through IT workshops.

    • Achievement: Educators gained practical skills to support students in navigating the digital world safely.

Impact and Achievements

  • Students: Improved safe internet use by 30%; greater awareness of cyber risks.

  • Schools: Dropouts due to cyberbullying reduced from 5% to 1%.

Target Groups

 

  • Primary Beneficiaries: Students aged 10+ from families with limited guidance on internet use. These students were often victims or perpetrators of cyberbullying or exhibited signs of internet addiction.

  • Secondary Beneficiaries: Teachers, as key figures in providing guidance on safe internet practices.

  • Indirect Beneficiaries: Parents, empowered with tools and knowledge to manage their children's digital habits effectively.

Mobility Plan

  • 8 training staff participated in mobilities to Germany and Turkey.

  • 4 students and 3 training staff participated in mobility to Macedonia.
